For the sake of having an entry in each category in this portfolio, let’s start with this one. It was interesting trying to paint the smaller details on this pretty small (about A5 wide) canvas. I’ve also learned a lot of different technics. What I had most fun with is working with textures. I’ve used the Liquitex modeling paste to create some 3d effects in the foreground of the picture. It was pretty easy to work with and dried sturdy and still somewhat flexible (so I didn’t worry about it being flattened in the luggage of my mom whom it was a present for).
